The HK M110A1 is an American military semi-automatic precision rifle that is chambered for the 7.62×51mm NATO round. It is manufactured by H&K and developed from HK417; the HK417 is a gas piston variant of the AR-10 platform, with the short-stroke gas piston derived from the HK G36. Compared to the HK G28, the HK M110A1 uses an aluminum upper receiver instead of steel to meet weight requirements, and similar to the Germany Bundeswehr HK G28 configuration.
